Length: < 1 min

…but that’s OK. It was fittingly after all, a report from earlier this year that, on July 20, 2016, the Slow Food movement awarded their 100th Ark of Taste product certificate to the breed society of …….<drum roll please> …….

The British Saddleback.

Taken from the “Beautiful Pigs” book by Andy Case/Andrew Perris 2009

It joins those earlier rare Great British pig breeds already included on their register: the Berkshire, the Large Back, the Oxford Sandy & Black, the Middle White, the Welsh and the Tamworth. Fine company indeed & a welcome addition.
