Pound pot-stickers. Or dollar dumplings.

Length: < 1 min

I was reminded whilst reading a piece by the Berlin-based and excellently named Devon Grimsrud, that I’d still got on the shelves, my copy of lucky peach presents 101 easy asian recipes cookbook — dating back almost 10 years now — which she referred to in her recent recipe email, that dropped into my in-box, a day or so back .

I’ve also still got the entire set of Lucky Peach magazines clogging up a portion of the same shelves as well; if nothing else, it’ll be something for the kids to shove onto eBay and sell off to — maybe — get a few pennies into their pots. And whilst there’s a lot of documented, really bad historical abuse that came out about Chang and Meehan more recently and I don’t want to suggest by posting this piece that they’re either of them, anything other than horrible abusers and, overall, rather sleazy human beings, yet the recipe stands as a really great one, so here we go.

The ‘sterling stickers’ AKA USA-anian dumplings look good, I think you’ll agree?

And a handy guide to the origami moves involved in making them

So, let’s consign these two men to the dust-bin of history yet still celebrate the food. Here’s to dumplings— in any shape or form or via any culture.
