When I found out that this, the canonical guide to German wurst dating from 1939 available from — of course — a German based bookseller, a book which was also mentioned approvingly in The Oxford Companion to Food and then saw this cover on that actual copy available for sale, well, it had to be done didn’t it?

Old style German towns with the occupants in clothing from the 17th & 18th Century all carrying huge sausages or eating one at a long table.

There’s another one available but, to be honest, the cover isn’t as much fun, although I think Val will appreciate the work.
